Two programs full of endless opportunities for children 7-17 years of age, providing a space for your child to learn in a non-competitive environment amongst peers.
Both programs offer progressive lessons ranging in difficulty from beginner to upper intermediate. Beginners will explore equipment, slope education, and introductory snow skills. Intermediate students will enhance chairlift and trail riding skills along with skier responsibility knowledge.
Both ski and snowboard disciplines are offered.
We are mindful of instructor to student ratios. To ensure the most positive experience, space is limited for each discipline, and we are unable to make changes once your child is registered.
For your convenience, each participant’s sizing information is saved after the initial check-in and gear fitting process for quick retrieval in following sessions.
Online registration is required. Children enrolled above beginner level will be evaluated on the first day to determine placement.
Early season registration is from Saturday, November 16th at 9:00 AM through Saturday, December 7th.
Regular season registration is from Saturday, November 30th at 9:00 AM through Sunday, December 22nd.
Each of the regular season sessions includes a bonus date respective to the enrolled session’s weekday.
These days are reserved as a make-up session should Cataloochee Ski Area not be operating during night sessions for any of the regularly scheduled dates.
In the event of all sessions taking place as scheduled, the bonus date will remain in effect as a freestyle opportunity for students to join us on the mountain and put their newly learned skills to use.

This field-trip styled program is designed to offer all of STEM, Science, and Math principles within a roughly two-hour period. The lesson will provide invaluable insight into the world of snowmaking at Cataloochee Ski Area through lecture, a guided tour, and visual experience. Please note, this experience does not include a slope pass but is a fun and exciting way to learn at very little cost ($5.00 per attendee).

This program can be attended either Wednesday, January 15th or Wednesday, February 12th at 10:00 AM.
