KIDS ADVENTURE

Need a starting point?
Not sure what to expect?
Want to free up a few hours?

Your search for a reputable, trustworthy team to assist your child through the learning stages of skiing or snowboarding ends at our Kids Adventure Center. Sit back and kick up your feet or grab your gear and hit the slopes, we’ve got you covered! Our Kids Adventure lessons were designed with your children AND you in mind.

These lessons are offered for children ages 4-12. We took our time in designing the Kids Adventure experience for an effective delivery to this age range through fun races and interactive indoor and outdoor activities. Classes are formed according to age and ability. Lesson concepts are introduced in small increments based on the individual child’s learning capacity and developmental stage. Our focus is not an end goal with these lessons, rather, we aim to provide guidance in a non-competitive environment amongst peers. Children will develop the fundamental skills and confidence to comfortably navigate the mountain, build familiarity with equipment, as well as increase knowledge specific to slope education.

Have questions, comments, or concerns? No problem. Help us help you by submitting an inquiry so we can give you the reassurance you need to get your child started on their skiing or snowboarding journey!

WHAT TO EXPECT

First-timers will be introduced to equipment, basic on-slope education, and begin working on snow skills such as walking in boots, gliding, stopping, and turning in a beginner area. Depending on individual progression and comfort, first-time students have potential to be introduced to a conveyor and/or ski lift.

Students at an intermediate level will receive instruction aimed toward enhancing their skills on trails, linking turns, stopping, loading and unloading a conveyor or ski lift, and their skier responsibility through creative play.

Program pricing includes a 6-hour slope pass, ski or snowboard rental, helmet rental, and a snack.

WHAT TO SEND

Long-sleeve thermal base layer
Waterproof jacket
Fleece jacket
Waterproof Mittens / Gloves
Ski appropriate socks are required

*we recommend smart wool socks as the most
comfortable option to keep your child dry and warm

CHECKING IN

Children must be checked in no later than their stated start time. No exceptions will be made to this requirement, as adding students to a lesson once it has begun hinders the progress of the entire class. For everyone’s comfort, most especially your child’s, we request that parents remain on premises for the duration of the lesson.

Half Day AM: CHECK-IN from 8:00 AM – 9:00 AM
Half Day PM: CHECK-IN from 12:30 PM – 1:30 PM

PRIVATE LESSON

If you are looking for undivided attention during your lesson, this is definitely the way to go! Private lessons are available for ages four (4) and older. These lessons offer an opportunity to hone skills quicker through individualized instruction. With a personal ski or snowboard instructor, lessons can be truly customized based on your individual abilities and goals.

Be advised, prices include the lesson only; slope passes are required to take a lesson, regardless of slope use and student’s age. Slope passes and rentals must be purchased in addition to a lesson. To ensure the most enjoyable experience possible from start to finish, allowing at least one (1) hour to complete ticketing and rental sizing prior to your lesson is recommended.

GROUP LESSON

If this is your child’s first adventure on snow and they learn best surrounded by peers, group lessons are the perfect option! Our youth beginner group lesson offers an opportunity to learn the basics and gain confidence in a relaxed environment. Children will be introduced to walking in boots, gliding, stopping, and turning in a beginner area. Based on the individual progression and comfort of the entire group, there is also potential to be introduced to a conveyor and/or ski lift.

Parents and/or guardians are responsible for the timely drop off and prompt pick up of students. Lessons will begin at their scheduled times. Should your child miss the beginning of their lesson, we will do our very best to accommodate, however this may not be possible during periods of high business volume.

We recommend allowing at least one (1) hour to complete ticketing and rental processes prior to lesson.

Learn the basics alongside peers at a similar skill level who also have similar goals. Our group format lessons are led by a designated instructor who will guide you on equipment and on-slope education. Once you are comfortable with your gear’s fit and function, we will begin working on introductory snow skills. This part of the lesson will take place in a beginner bunny slope area, where we will turn our focus to moving on snow through gliding, stopping and turning. The remainder of the lesson is contingent on progression and comfort of the group, with potential to be introduced to a conveyor and/or ski lift. With this solid foundation of knowledge, you will maximize your performance and confidence on snow.

Learning new skills is challenging. We want to give you the best opportunity for success at your own pace. During weekends and holiday periods our daytime group lessons transform into a more flexible, progressive style instruction. Similar to our traditional group lessons as these keep with the same guidelines, students instead move through five specialty stations – each staffed with instructors. This learning style is unmatched in allowing for self-paced progression as you can repeat stations or quickly progress through as a refresher. Students are free to enter and exit the progressive instruction during the allotted period at their discretion for the duration of their respective slope pass(es).

If you have conquered beginner slopes and riding the chairlift, this lesson option is a great fit for you! Our adult intermediate+ group lessons provide the chance for similarly skilled students to sharpen their skills quickly, in a group format, under the guidance of one of our ski or snowboard instructors. Depending on the demand of those enrolled, these lessons have potential to cover skills through advanced difficulty.
