Adding a Couple of Trails to the Mix!

We have continued to make snow overnight as temperatures have allowed and into this morning but the guns will be going off soon.

Today will be skiing from top of the mountain down from Upper Omigosh on 9 slopes on a base of 26-48″ with two aerial lifts and one conveyor lift operating and a machine worked surface.

We offer one session of skiing, day skiing from 9am-4:30pm, with a morning or afternoon half day rate also available.

We have returned to our regular early season operating schedule of 8:30am – 4:30pm, Saturday and Sunday and 9am – 4:30pm Monday through Friday through December 13.

Our rental shop in Maggie Valley, Cataloochee Ski & Sports, is open daily.  Be sure to stop there for your rentals, tickets and all accessories you might need prior to your day on the slopes.  They are located at 3434 Soco Road, Maggie Valley.

Remember December 7 & 8 marks our 7th Annual Cataloochee Ski & Snowboard Swap here at the area.  Sign up to bring your gently used winter clothing and used hard goods to sell on both Saturday and Sunday, or shop for the best deals of the season on used equipment.  For more information, visit our website at

Also December 8, is Can-U-Ski Food and Coat Drive for Haywood Christian Ministries.  24 cans of food or 2 winter jackets of any kind will get you your lift ticket on Sunday for free, it’s a $72 value.  Cans and coats should be dropped off at either the top of the mountain at a designated area as you come to the ski area or at Cataloochee Ski & Sports and you will receive your lift ticket there.  Those persons needing to rent equipment and get lessons will pay for those items at the ski area when they show their lift ticket.

Did you know if you have a current season pass to any other area you get $10 off the price of your lift ticket, anytime!
