Yes, there was a glitch (read that operator error) in our link to season pass pricing that we now believe to be fixed and the correct pricing for the season are now up.
UPDATE: It’s 8:45am and we will ski the top of the mountain today, but we will readjust at 4:30pm and the top will not be open at that point. No quad chair will be running today but we will be open on the double and triple beginner’s lift. There will be no conveyor carpets operating. Right now we are still on 6 slopes. Base is 22-52″ with machine worked, loose granular surface. Today we offer three sessions of skiing, day skiing from 9am-4:30pm, twilight skiing from 1pm until 10pm and night skiing from 6pm until 10pm with a morning or afternoon half day rate also available. Please note the Middle School and High School Racing will be held on our Lower Omigosh Slope.
Today is Family Day and a child 17 and under will receive a free lift ticket when accompanied by a parent purchasing a full price adult day, twilight or night lift ticket. Rental equipment and lessons are regular price and this program or any other discount program can not be used with another discount program and a full price lift ticket must be purchased to receive free ticket.
Tube World, located in Maggie Valley, four miles from the ski area across from Ghost Town in the Sky is on its regular schedule and will reopen on Thursday, February 22 at 4pm. Tubing is on a first come first served basis. If you do not already have a reservation and you wish to tube and have been unable to purchase a ticket online, you can purchase a ticket for any session in the day if available the morning of the day you plan to tube. Cost for tubing is $25 and you must be 42″ tall to ride alone. There is no two person tubing at Tube World.
NEW this season you can purchase your pass for next season online now through March 4 and you can use your pass now for the rest of this season and all of next! All passes purchased this past year and during the sale date are valid everyday beginning February 20, even on the weekends. And all passes purchased during the sale this season will be valid each day with the exception of the Thanksgiving holiday period until December 14, 2018 as well as all of their regularly valid dates of use.
Basically in a nutshell, buy any kind of pass now, use it everyday until the end of the season and ALMOST everyday until December 14 and then you use it like its intended. We know there is some catchy phrasing that works for that but that’s it, plain and simple. Questions? Call us. Here’s the LINK.
Our rental shop in Maggie Valley, Cataloochee Ski & Sports, is open as well. Be sure to stop there for discounted rentals and any accessories you might need prior to your day on the slopes. They are located at 3434 Soco Road.
NOTICE TO OUR GUESTS…do not use your GPS or IPhone Map app to bring you to the ski area or Tube World and DO NOT use any mapping that includes the words SCENIC VIEW DR. or ROAD NAMES HEMPHILL ROAD OR YELLOW PATCH ROAD. Use the directions below for the quickest routes. These roads are incorrect and a mapping error that takes you up a dead end private road and single lane fire roads.
