OPERATIONS UPDATE:
How was everyone’s first time on the mountain for the 2025-26 season?! It’s been an epic week with you all so far and we’ve loved seeing everyone back in their element (our phenomenal staff included). 😎🙌

For those who couldn’t make first turns with us yet, we missed you and can’t wait to see you soon.
For all of you and beyond, we hope you know you remain our highest priority when it comes to making operational decisions that impact the guest experience. As most of you can imagine, due to the mere size of the project, our teams worked diligently on the Omigosh Quad chairlift installation from the start of our off-season to the very end. We never turn down an opportunity to fire up the snow guns and we’re grateful to have been able to provide an unexpected and earlier than normal opportunity for many of you to get on the snow. To allow for this, we had to pause on some necessary projects and as a result have made the decision to cease operations from Monday, November 17th, through Friday, November 21st.
We share this update with the intention and utmost commitment to welcoming you back to both Cataloochee Ski Area and Tube World next Saturday, November 22nd. In the meantime, tune those skis, wax those boards, and get ready for what’s ahead because we can guarantee there’s no fun like slope fun. ⛷️🏂
We sincerely appreciate your patience while we button up the remainder of our Summer projects for your benefit and enjoyment. See you all in a jiffy! 🫡🙂↔️

Nearly three weeks ago we waved goodbye to the 2024-25 season, along with our double Omigosh lift. We have been hard at work getting everything ready to install the new fixed grip quad. Looking ahead to what next season will bring, we wanted to throw it back to share the excitement as we gear up for big changes.

Join us for the last day of the 2024-25 season at Cataloochee Ski Area and a final send off for the Omigosh chairlift this Saturday, March 22nd.
We will be spinning the Rock Island quad and Easy Way triple chairlifts from 8:30 AM until 4:30 PM. Additionally, we will have the Omigosh lift open for the last time ever, servicing mid-station only, from 9:00 AM until 12:00 PM.
For those of you who have a special place in your heart for the Omigosh chairlift like we do, tell the lifty before loading during this exclusive three-hour send off for a special Cataloochee hoo-rah. ✌️

Friendly reminder that tonight is the last night session of the season. Late season hours officially begin tomorrow, with business hours changing over to 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM (weekends) and 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM (weekdays).

The scoop: All 2025-26 season passholders can use their pass for the remainder of this season, and you can visit any day of the week starting March 9th regardless of your season pass type.

The BIG Sale goes live TONIGHT at midnight. It’s the final warm-up to ‘Add to Cart’. Limited quantities of each pass will be available for each price tier, so jump on it ASAP.
While we’re on the subject of awesomeness, we wanted to send out a friendly reminder that we love to see everyone with their snow skates, snow feet, snow bikes, etc. And while they’re super epic, alternative equipment does have some additional requirements to be used on the slopes:
- All equipment must have metal edging
- Must have a leash
- Must be approved by management or ski patrol
- A waiver must be signed at Guest Services before any slope access can be given
There are also restrictions on what slopes and what days alternative equipment can be used, so if you are planning a trip - give us a shout with any questions and we will be happy to help!
