Helpful Information for Your Lesson
Available Lesson Dates
Prior to Arrival for Lesson
Before checking in at Ski & Ride Center for you or your child’s lesson, be sure you have:
- Proper attire: (the following items are mandatory for all children 12 and under)
- Water-resistant outerwear
- Gloves / Mittens
- Face protection / neck gaiter
- Ski Socks (non-cotton)
- Lift ticket or season pass
- Equipment: If you are renting equipment, please keep in mind the rental process takes time. Weekends and Holidays the process may take an hour or possibly longer. Picking up equipment the night before your lesson is strongly recommended. Equipment must be collected prior to lesson start time even if included in the package.
Lesson Check-In Times
Parents may check children in to CAT TRACKERS lessons at the Cat Trackers Building starting 30 minutes before their session begins. Please have children checked in no later than their scheduled start time. Please make sure rental equipment is picked up before children are checked in. Late arrivals will not be accepted as adding students to a lesson after it has begun significantly hinders the progress of the group as a whole. Children must be picked up promptly at the end of their session times: 11:30am, 1:30pm and 3:30pm.
Group Lesson start times are flexible/rolling and will be based on your reservation time slot.
By Reservation Only. Walk-ups will be served if we have available instructors.
Please arrive a little early, ready for your lesson.
Lesson Check-In Location
Check in at Cat Trackers building, at the base of Easy Way Chairlift.
Lessons will not be canceled due to weather. If the lifts are spinning, lessons are going. On extreme weather days, additional breaks will be allotted as needed. Refunds will not be issued should you decide not to attend your lesson due to weather.
“Quality of Lesson” Consideration
Cat Trackers Groups
Group lessons are just that – multiple children with a variety of personalities, goals (including expectations from parents), energy levels & abilities. That’s a great thing; friends are part of what makes Cat Trackers so fun! We take a good look at each wonderful child entrusted to our care and place them in the group that makes the most sense with respect to the big picture for that day. That can mean mixed ages with matched abilities, some groups smaller than others due to skill set, and it ALWAYS means some variation of skill even within a group. If you are adamant that your child only ski or snowboard with others of the exact (or near-exact) same ability level, we encourage you to consider a Private Lesson as this is the setting in which we can guarantee one-on-one attention and a lesson that moves at a pace customized to your child’s ability.
Private lessons allow an individual, a group of friends or families to customize a lesson to their abilities and goals. Experience has shown that the greatest amount of learning and progress occurs when age and ability are very similar. If progress is your primary goal, then we strongly encourage you to avoid placing student of greatly differing ages and/or abilities in the same lesson. Private Lessons are based on reservations, followed by availability on a first come, first serve basis.
