Prior to arrival

Before checking in at Ski & Ride Center for you or your child’s lesson, be sure you have:

  • Proper attire: (the following items are mandatory for all children 12 and under)
  • Water-resistant outerwear
  • Gloves / Mittens
  • Face protection / neck gaiter
  • Ski Socks (non-cotton)
  • Lift ticket or season pass
  • Equipment: If you are renting equipment, please keep in mind the rental process takes time. On weekends and holidays especially, we recommend allowing at least one hour prior to your lesson to complete this process. Picking up equipment the night before your lesson is strongly recommended. Equipment must be collected prior to lesson start time, even when included in a package.

Lesson Check-In

Check in at CAT Trackers building, at the base of Easy Way Chairlift. Lessons will not be canceled due to weather. On extreme weather days, additional breaks will be allotted as needed. Refunds will not be issued should you decide not to attend your lesson as the result of weather conditions.

“Quality of Lesson” Consideration

CAT Trackers
These lessons are groups of multiple children with a variety of personalities, goals (including expectations from parents), energy levels, and abilities. That’s a great thing; friends are part of what makes CAT Trackers so fun! We evaluate each child and group them as similarly as is possible. If you are adamant that your child only ski or snowboard with others of the same ability level, we encourage you to consider a Personalized Lesson instead.

Personalized Lessons
These lessons allow an individual, or a group of friends or families to customize a lesson to their abilities and goals. Experience has shown that the greatest amount of learning and progress occurs when age and ability are very similar. If progress is your primary goal, we strongly encourage you to avoid placing students of greatly differing ages and/or abilities in the same lesson. Personalized Lessons are generally by reservation only, followed by availability on a first come, first served basis.
