LESSON

During your child’s time with us our instructors will introduce your child to skiing or snowboarding, help hone their skills if they are ready, as well as guide them in fun races and interactive indoor and outdoor activities.

The earlier kids start skiing and snowboarding, the better. CAT Trackers participants will learn in a fun setting to gain a lifelong affection for mountain sports.  Our focus is on developing fundamentals and improving in a non-competitive environment.  Children will be grouped according to ability and age.

ONLINE REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED – RESERVE UP TO 2 WEEKS IN ADVANCE.

What to expect

Children must be checked in no later than their stated start time, no exceptions, as adding students to a lesson once it has begun hinders the progress of the group. For liability purposes, a legal guardian must remain on the mountain while lessons are in session.

Classes are formed according to both age and ability level. First timers will be introduced to equipment, ski area basics on safety and snow skills (e.g., walking in boots, gliding, stopping, and turning) in the flats of a beginner area. Our goal is to provide a fun learning environment which focuses on confident skill progression. Depending on individual progression and comfort, a first-time student may or may not be introduced to a conveyor and/or ski lift. More advanced students will receive instruction aimed toward enhancing their skills on trails, linking turns, stopping, loading and unloading a conveyor or ski lift, and their skier responsibility through creative play.
