2016 RACE PROGRAM FEES
The cost of the program is $185.00
Results for all races will be available on the internet at Live-Timing.com. Use your smart phone to keep track or go to the Group Lodge (upstairs in CTI) to find out how you ran. Real time results are generally available within a few seconds after your run. Live-Timing is NOT PERFECT! Do not challenge race officials because of something you see there. Bring the issue to your coach and they will look into it. All results will be reviewed and corrected if necessary at the conclusion of the race.
After the race, the times will be separated by gender and discipline and submitted to NASTAR.com for posting. Final results are normally available later that night or the next day.
2016 RACE FORMS
To save time you can download and complete forms here:
Racers on a team are divided into separate categories based on gender and discipline. Male Skiers, Female Skiers, Male Snowboarders, Female Snowboarders. Race results will be posted based on these categories.
Each racer may make up to two runs on the race course. Only the best time for an individual racer will be used for calculating team time for that race.
The three fastest individual times for the racers on a team will be added together for a team time. A team must have at least three individual racers in a category to qualify for team points in that category for that race.
The lowest team time, out of all schools participating, is awarded 150 points, 2nd lowest time gets 149 points, and so on in each category for that race.
If a team does not participate in a race category or does not have at least three racers in a category, the team will receive zero points for that race category.
At the end of the season, each team will automatically have their single worst result dropped for races held in each category. If the worst result is zero points for a race category for any reason, that will be the result dropped.
The points for all of the remaining races within a category will be added together to determine the teams season total points.
The team with the highest overall number of team points will be declared the winner.
If a tie in points occurs when calculating the season totals, all teams involved in the tie will be given the same final score and placement. The next team will be given the next position down.
